The International Philosophy Olympiad is held with the aim of popularising philosophical knowledge, fostering a sustainable interest among young people in classical and contemporary philosophical issues, Kant's legacy, and its role in world and Russian culture. It also aims to develop critical thinking skills and promote the ideas of cultural and civilisational diversity. The Olympiad will also contribute to the global competitiveness of Russian education and popularisation of the Russian language, Russian philosophy and culture at an international level.
The Olympiad will be held from the 15th of August 2024 to the 29th of November 2024.
Registration of Participants
Participants are to register and fill in the participant application form on the official website of the Olympiad.
The Registration stage will be held from the 15th of August 2024 to the 19th of September 2024.

Form and procedure of the first stage of the Olympiad
The first stage will be held online on the 20th of September 2024 via participants' accounts on the official website of the Olympiad.
The time limit and procedure for completing the tasks will be published on the official website of the Olympiad in the corresponding announcement.
Evaluation of the works submitted by the participants during the first stage of the Olympiad
Fifty winners will be selected from the participants of the first stage. The winners of the first stage will be chosen based on their score (50 points maximum). Points are attributed according to the criteria developed by the Methodical Commission and approved by the Organising Committee.
The results of the first stage of the Olympiad are summarised at the Jury Panel meeting. The document that consolidates the final results of the first stage is the meeting minutes of the Jury Panel, signed by the chairperson of the Jury Panel and all members of the Jury Panel. The Organising Committee of the Olympiad shall be provided with the said meeting minutes no later than the 30th of September 2024.
The results of the first stage of the Olympiad will be published on the website of the Olympiad no later than the 1st of October 2024.
Form and procedure of the second stage of the Olympiad
The second stage of the Olympiad will take place in person.
The winners of the first stage of the Olympiad are entitled to participate in the second stage and will be officially notified and invited to do so.
The second stage of the Olympiad will be held in the form of a presentation of the projects on the promotion of Immanuel Kant's legacy within the framework of the topics of the Olympiad.
Evaluation of the tasks for the second stage
The second stage involves the public presentation that will take place on the 26-27th of November 2024 at Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University.
On the 28th of November 2024, the Jury Panel will evaluate the projects submitted and presented within the course of the second stage of the Olympiad.
The results of evaluation of the projects submitted and presented by the participants within the course of the second stage of the Olympiad are entered into the final score sheet.
Procedure for summing up the results of the Olympiad
The winners of the Olympiad are determined based on their score (50 points maximum). Points are attributed according to the criteria of plagiarism, relevance, cogency, and compliance with the theme of the Olympiad.
The results of the Olympiad are summarised at the Jury Panel meeting after the members of the Jury Panel have signed the final score sheets. The document that consolidates the final results is the meeting minutes of the Jury Panel, signed by the chairperson and all members of the Jury Panel. The meeting minutes are handed over to the Organising Committee of the Olympiad for determining the winners with the highest scores.
The number of the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad is six winners and twelve prize-winners.
The list of the winners will be published on the official website of the Olympiad no later than 15:00 (Kaliningrad time, GMT +2) on the 28th of November 2024.
In case of disagreement with the final decision of the Jury Panel of the Olympiad, the participant may submit an application to the Appeals Commission no later than 18:00 (Kaliningrad time, GMT +2) on the 28th of November 2024 to the Olympiad e-mail address.
An appeal to the Appeals Commission can be submitted only in cases of procedural violations during the stages of the Olympiad.
The Appeals Commission is to review appeals no later than 10:00 (Kaliningrad time, GMT +2) on the 29th of November 2024 and provide the results to the Olympiad Organising Committee.
Award Ceremony of the Olympiad
The winners are awarded certificates and valuable prizes.
The Award Ceremony for the winners of the Olympiad will take place on the 29th of November 2024 at 16:00 (Kaliningrad time, GMT +2).
